Suspension Bridge, Towan Beach, Cornwall

I was inspired by the beauty and rugged surface of these cliffs and the many different shades of blue which definately capture the tranquil mood of both the sky and sea. I chose this particularly vantage point because I wanted to portray the shear drop and give the viewer an insight into what it would be like to live life on top of a cliff.  So I took a photo whilst on holiday in Cornwall,  which was one of many, when it was developed I got to work right away in my studio and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of working in oils to produce the many different tonal values and texture of the cliffs and grass. Which as you can see go to make up the realism of all my paintings.  Hope you enjoy browsing my paintings, please feel free to make a comment as I would love to hear your views.
