I am delighted to announce that I have been chosen as one of the winners in the 2019 Cago Contemporary Art Gallery online for the second time and this is my certificate.  The title of my entry piece was: SWAN ON FAIRHAVEN LAKE, ST ANNE'S.  It took 4th place.

335 Santa Margherita, Italy

This painting was produced from the many photos that I have in my vast and widely varied collection.  I particularly enjoyed the challenge that this quaint, but busy little harbour presented with its many brightly coloured houses, shops and cafes where one can sit outside and enjoy a typical italian pizza with all its trimmings or a cappuccino, whilst relaxing as you watch the world go by, or just leisurely stroll around the harbour admiring the scenery and the many boats.  This spot was ideal in its composition because it gives the viewer an excellent insight into the many contrasting shades of greenery sandwiched between the blue sky and the colourful buildings down below to the tranquil reflections of the water, capturing

the mood and air of Santa Margherita one of the many beauty spots belonging to Italy, it won second prize in the Fylde Community Arts Project annual art competition and was placed in one of their calendars.  Please feel free to enjoy the view and comment. I would love your feed back.

342 Morning Stroll, Loch Linnhie, Fort William, Scotland

Having had rather a sleepless night with much tossing and turning, I decided to abandon my attempts at sleep and get up one morning very early 6.30 am and go for a stroll along the many pictureque paths that run at the side of loch Linnhie. This particular view I found most interesting because it draws the eye into the vast unspoilt beauty of Scotland with its many ancient castles and gives a splendid impression of the loch with its mystique and allure. Which I have tried to capture as much as possble in this painting. Hope you enjoy viewing it and reading my blog.  Please feel free to leave any comments as I would love to hear from you.
